The Libris Awards, presented by Artspace Mackay in Mackay, Queensland, play a significant role in showcasing the very latest and best in contemporary artists’ book practice in Australia. Finalist and MAPgroup photographer Silvi Glattauer's artist book Oscillation explores a personal narrative of identity that pendulates between Australia and Argentina.
The book pages began in Australia with eco printing using local bush elements. The pages then made the journey to Argentina where they were overprinted using photolithography during a residency at Proyecto 'ace in Buenos Aires, using photographic images from the La Puna region of North West Argentina.
