MAPgroup is pleased to welcome new member, Cathy Ronalds. Cathy is a documentary and portrait photographer based in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria. She is motivated to produce portrait-based storytelling images that convey a sense of relationship and intimacy with her subjects. Currently, Cathy is engaged in a long-term portrait series about women. Weddings, families and commercial portrait work form the bulk of her client work. In particular, Cathy enjoys working on special projects with creative clients. She also contributes stock work to Offset and sells art prints through Superfine Prints. Cathy was recently awarded: Top 20, Documentary/Photojournalism category, Australia’s Top Emerging Photographer Awards 2018 run by Capture Magazine; Finalist, Portrait category, Australian Photography Awards 2017; Highly Commended, Australian Pro Photographer of the Year 2018; and an Honourable Mention in the International Documentary Family Awards 2017.
