Jon Reid

Jon Reid has an extensive background as a photojournalist, including over a decade with The Sydney Morning Herald. In 2009, he travelled to Nepal with the Fred Hollows Foundation to document their ongoing work to eradicate preventable blindness.

In 2011, Jon self-published Predominantly Orange, a book of photographs from his documentation of the ubiquitous safety-cone.

Jon’s current project is Apocalypse Now: In response to anxiety, which attempts to connect anxiety about inaction on climate change to the environment around him. This project is being printed in platinum/palladium from original 5x7" negatives.

Jon's photographs are held by The National Library of Australia, The State Library of New South Wales and the Australian National Maritime Museum.
