Map Group members have undertaken a project, 'Beyond Age', in conjunction with the Shire of Murrindindi, one of the many parts of Victoria to suffer in the Black Saturday fires in February 2009. More information in our news page here and images are in our gallery section.
MAP Group members are exhibiting in an exhibition titled 'Four Elements:Air' to run from April 29th to May 22nd 2010 which is the first in a series of group exhibitions on the theme of the elements at the NewNorth Gallery in Fairfield, Melbourne.
This series of exhibitions seeks to explore the interpretation of natural elements in contemporary photography. The current exhibition includesworks by Margie and Chris McLelland, Julie Millowick, Gillian Fletcher, Alan Atwood, Andrew Chapman, Noel Butcher, Joyce Evans, Colin Abbott, Christopher Race and Michael Silver. Beyond Reasonable Drought is a Museum of Australian Democracy travelling exhibition in association with the MAP Group.
Its inaugural exhibition was at Old Parliament House, now known as the Museum of Australian Democracy, held in Canberra, 5th July – 26th October 2008 as part of the Vivid, National Photographic Festival
MoAD estimated that a staggering 60,000 people viewed the show during the Vivid National Photographic Festival.
To celebrate the release of our book, the exhibition returning to Canberra for another showing at the Museum of Australian Democracy after visiting Maryborough and Horsham in Victoria and Hay in NSW.
The second showing of the exhibition at MoAD ran from November 1st 2009 until February 14th 2010.

MAP Group was involved in a short term project - MAPping Ballarat - as part of the Ballarat International Foto Bienalle
The MAPping Ballarat exhibition, which was well attended and formed part of the core program at BIFB was held at the Ballarat Town Hall from September 4th to October 4th 2009.
The City of Ballarat was so impressed with the exhibition that they are keen to have MAP Group return to Ballarat to continue this project. More information here
